Publishing Policies
These policies apply to every journal published on Karya Nusantara Digital Journal. Each journal may add field-specific requirements in its own author guidelines.
Open access
All articles are freely available immediately on publication. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full texts without registration.
No publication fees
Journals follow the diamond open-access model: there are no article processing charges (APC) and no submission fees.
Copyright and licence
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).
Peer review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial check are reviewed double-blind by at least two independent reviewers. The handling editor makes the decision based on the reviews; authors may appeal a decision in writing.
Publication ethics
Editors, reviewers and authors are expected to follow the COPE Core Practices. Suspected misconduct is handled using the COPE flowcharts.
Plagiarism screening
Every submission is checked for similarity before review. Manuscripts with substantial unattributed overlap are returned to the authors or rejected.
Use of AI tools
Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in preparing the manuscript and remain fully responsible for its content.
Corrections and retractions
Errors found after publication are corrected through a published correction notice. Articles with seriously unreliable findings or misconduct are retracted, and the retraction notice is linked to the original article.
Archiving
Article metadata are openly available via OAI-PMH, and published content is backed up regularly by the publisher.
